The Gwinnett Stripers are turning their home ballpark into a Halloween party for one Saturday afternoon this month. Boo! at the Ballpark, presented with Dippin’s Dots, runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24, at Gwinnett Field, 2500 Buford Drive in Lawrenceville — the same ballpark that has hosted the Atlanta Braves’ Triple-A affiliate since 2009, and that's been going by its plain geographic name since its Coolray naming-rights deal expired after the 2025 season.

What’s planned

The team is laying out trick-or-treating stations along the Main Concourse, with candy, treats and prizes for kids of all ages. A beer garden opens at the Coca-Cola Front Porch Bar, with a six-drink wristband running $25 in advance or $30 the day of. Beyond that, the afternoon fills out with pumpkin carving, a run of carnival games — cornhole, pumpkin knockdown, pumpkin ring toss and candy corn bowling among them — hay rides around the warning track and parking lot, a fall-themed photo stop in The Cove, and $15 tie-dye shirt-making. Face painting, inflatable games and shopping in the Bobby’s Tackle team store round things out.

Tickets and admission

Parking and entry are both free, but the Stripers say fans still need to reserve tickets online in advance rather than just showing up at the gate. Local businesses or community groups interested in handing out candy at one of the trick-or-treat stations can reach out directly to the team’s Matthew O’Banion at 803-640-4329 to take part.

Good to know

It’s a quiet stretch of the calendar for Gwinnett Field between seasons, which makes a daytime, family-pitched event like this an easy add-on for anyone who hasn’t had a reason to visit the ballpark since the Stripers’ last home game. With the Coolray name gone and no new naming-rights sponsor announced yet, the venue is simply Gwinnett Field for now — worth knowing if you’re mapping directions or searching for the address, since older write-ups and signage around town may still reference the old name.

For newer Gwinnett residents still learning the local sports calendar, the Stripers have played Triple-A ball at this address since the ballpark opened in 2009, and the club has been under contract as the Braves’ top affiliate since a 2021 agreement that runs for 10 seasons. The regular season wraps in September, which is part of why a one-off event like Boo! at the Ballpark is a notable way to get back onto the field in October rather than waiting for Opening Day.
