On Tuesday, Oct. 20, the Gwinnett Entrepreneur Center (GEC) is hosting a free Small Business Marketing Roundtable with guest speaker Christine Clement, owner of the marketing and communications firm Christine Creative Co. The session runs from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the center's Lawrenceville location, 405 North Perry Street, with networking starting a half-hour early at 9:30 a.m. It's free and open to small businesses at any stage, from startup to growth, and no GEC membership is required to attend.
Clement brings more than 12 years of marketing and communications experience, including more than a decade in corporate roles before she launched her own company, which handles social media, email marketing, copywriting, paid media and communications strategy for small businesses and organizations. GEC Center Manager Greg Goebel, who has worked with hundreds of local business owners on branding and marketing strategy through the center's small business collectives and book club, will host and facilitate the session.
What the roundtable covers
The format is interactive rather than a lecture. Organizers list branding, social media and campaign planning among the topics, and participants are encouraged to bring their own marketing questions for direct feedback from Clement and the group. The center's registration page notes seating is limited and asks anyone planning to attend in person to RSVP in advance; no registration deadline is listed, but spots have been filling throughout the week.
A standing resource, not a one-off
The Gwinnett Entrepreneur Center is a county-run program under the Planning & Development department's economic development division, built to reduce the risk and cost of starting or growing a small business locally. Beyond free roundtables like this one, it runs an annual Small Business Incubator cohort, ongoing Small Business Collectives, and a Small Business Book Club — all open without membership.
This isn't the center's only session on the calendar. Already scheduled: a Gwinnett County Supplier Portal walkthrough and a Legal Issues in Business fireside chat with attorney Roxann Smithers, both Nov. 5; a social media systems workshop Nov. 12; a workshop on hiring and managing employees Nov. 17; and a pair of December sessions, including a Canva + AI for small business workshop that opens for registration Nov. 1.
